Hi.. Does anybody knows about NI contributions? I got my IN number last year but still have no proper job since because I travel alot. I have temporaty job sometimes at the pub near my house but they always pay in cash after work. So i was wondering that do I have to pay all the neccesary tax and NI contributions myself? Do we need this to prove anything when we apply for British Passport?
Thanks a lot, Kim |

Hi Kim .. NI contributions are not related to your appplication for a passport. NI contributions are important for the long term future in that they affect your pension when you reach retirement, and unemployment benifit. If you have worked cash in hand then DO NOT tell anyone.
