Mam is on holiday in Buriram for a few weeks. She called me today to say she has bought about 6 rai of land across the road from our house. She is evidently planning my retirement activities...fish-farming, growing sugar cane, taking care of the cows etc.
I am sure it has been explained here on the forum many times previously...but what area is a rai, more or less, in square metres?? Thanks in advance for the info. John B nao faz mal means mai pen rai |

Thanks for pointing me at the very useful glossary, Paul.
Re. Prenders foreign devils.... I know...Mam has bought it from her money and it will be in her name. She will use it to help her family in some way for sure....all of us know how central that is to our partners' approach to everything. No problem. JohnB nao faz mal means mai pen rai |
