Can anyone help me out with details, and preferably email address, of a reliable english speaking solictor in Udon. We are buying 5 Rai of land in October and I want the 'deed' checked out and varified as correct before parting with a substantial wad

I also want to set up a 30 year lease as back up incase anything goes wrong/change of circumstances.

Hi Skippy, yes found a nice quiet plot outside Udon in Nong Sai, about 5km from Udon town and prices are no where near Udon 'inner ring road' prices

In all seriousness the wife's family are saying that prices are increasing monthly - is that an over reaction?

If you go on the ring road towards Nong Kai, about halfway along from BigC turn right and Nong Sai is about 3km.

Think you're right about the land increasing in price. We got a document signed with the village elder and the farmer who is selling confirming the sale, like a guarantee really but apparently they are widely used.Best of all it fixes a price agreed by all parties.
