Are there any real alternatives to UBC, BTW satellitte not cable

UBC is now called "True visions".

Not aware of any other satellite services myself, but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

I've often seen shops in the towns where you pay a one off fee for a large satellite dish you stick in the garden. They advertise that you can pick up the footy and other sports, might be a viable alternative to UBC.

I assume you're not connected to cable then as it would only cost around 400 baht a month.

We've got the large motorised dish and free channels sattelite and I wouldn't recommend to anyone who wants english viewing, only channels (apart from Thai) that I use are BBC World (which gets really irritating) and TalkSport Radio.
