Hi,

I am planning to move out to Thailand later this year but to help clear some of the things from my place here I am looking to send some things over to my wife in Thailand.

I just wondered what experience people have had with sending things and what companies they have used?

I will be sending from Manchester to Nonthaburee.

I am currently looking at using Vovvit , has anyone used this company?

Initially I will send 5 or 6 boxes that will include a mixture of clothing, books, cds etc.

Thanks

Karl

Seven Seas seems to get good recommendations.

http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com/

They seem quite a bit cheaper too.

For CDs/DVDs just dump all the plastic boxes and put them into a folder. If you ever need to buy the cases again they very cheap.

My pal just shipped 30 good size boxes door to door cost about £700. Made me think it might have been cheaper to rent half a container and take more stuff with him, leaving good furniture behind only to buy again seems a bit of a waist. I know I had a problem buying a good bed LOS and wished I took mine with me.

Thanks for the advice. I'll take a look at those companies.

Regarding furniture, I won't be sending any over because I'll be initially living at my wife's current home which is already furnished. Also I'll be leaving furniture at my current place because I hope to rent it out.

Thanks

Karl
