Hope that's your handle and not your expertise, there's too much of that going on too in LOS, sadly.
I don't know anything about setting up a business in Thailand but these people do - www.sunbeltasia.com
also you should try www.thaivisa.com the forum for expats running businesses in Thailand. That's not to say that there isn't loads of advice available from members of this forum too.
Good luck, I'll be there too one day!

A foreigner can set up a company in Thailand. Anyway, 51% of all shares have to be held by Thai. Unless, your business goes under BOI. In order to set up a company, you will need at least 7 shareholders.

me and my ex business partner set up a thai company several years ago.as already said 51% etc.we paid a lawyer 20,000 bht and he did the rest got seven thai directors etc all we did was sign numerous forms etc provide paspport copies and that was it.even though we had company could not officially work as had no work permit and all the licences for the restaurant had to be in thai name, beer, ciggies etc although the business paid the tax(get a thai accountant ).when oy went for her first visa (v.v)i presented the papers as part of our file and it was inspected by the thais in the embassy and was ok,but the english woman gave me a hard time abouyut the work permit but i explained i was only an investor and took no money out ofg the business!!!!!. best bet get an accountant and lawyer.
