Lucky,
What a choice you're faced with,speaking from experience i'd go for a male rottie over a G.S.
Why ?
1. no whacking great tail (got to be docked) to destroy
everything in its path.
2. short hair
3. none of that 'in season malarky'
4. doesn't quite need as much exercise

If i remember we paid about £500 for a puppy 8-9 weeks old of both breeds about 5 years ago.
Hope this helps Nod

Bryn come on do tell us the dogs name, you've already made your excuses Wink
I promise not to laugh .....

Well not to much Thumbs Up

OK, weather today, another scorcher with a nice breeze.
Went down the farm early this morning, only to be told that the tractor driver can't make it until this afternoon, no surprise there!
Anyways hae has been, done the job, well part of it, and coming back tomorrow to do a bit more.
Did a bit of fishing and Mervyn turned up with a spare Laptop charger as mine blew up this morning.
Lokks like I can only buy another laptop charger in Pattaya, so looks like I am going a week tomorrow to buy one Angel
Cheers

Thanks for the links Bryn Thumbs Up

Ian, I am inclined to agree with your view. It is something I am considering for the future. I have bred Labs and Collies here in the UK but I fancy a change and am thinking of breeding dogs on a small scale over in LOS when I retire, as an enjoyable hobby. We have plenty of space and I will have plenty of time.

Cheers Mervyn, I understand, I wasn't looking at it to make money, just a bit of fun. Ideally I'd like to keep the pups for up to two years and train them up as house guard dogs. Nothing too serious but enough to make your average burglar wary. If I covered my costs I'd be happy! It's something I enjoy doing.
