Should be worth a look at 1930 on BBC1. There will be two reports: boating on the Mekong and Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen in Bangkok.

Read your message just in time to miss the end! TVGenius not showing any scheduled repeats - anyone know different?

Worse it was the last in the series, maybe on BBC3 or 4 later in the week!

Anyway I saw it as my mate who was supposed to meet me in the pub at 18.00 got stuck in traffic on the M25 so I went home early

Some of it was interesting but also some bad with Simon Calder saying sabadee to Laos people and waiing (?) but the Thai bit centred on Chiang Mai (obviously) and the golden triangle crossing to Laos!

Bit of what we already know but an enjoyable watch and recommended people visit the area. As a short travel review Thumbs Up

Sorry, only spotted it a few minutes before it went out! Not a bad programme, although it made Chiang Mai seem like a rural town. Laos bit was good.

But, and I know its a long time since I was in the LOS, but surely £185 for a day as a trainee mahout in an elephant farm is horribly expensive? Mistake?

Sabaaidee is used in Lao as a greeting pretty much similar to Sawatdee in Thai, but he did seem to be using this in places where he was trying to say "thank you". His waiing at every opportunity was just plain silly LOL
