As I am a complete ignoramus, it would be useful to know what all these things mean!

I can see that I would need a dish, and I presume the "receiver" is like a freeview box to tune into stations? What is the inverto? And what is a monoblock? I assume Astra and Hotbird are satellites - what is the benefit of tuning in to them? Without the monoblock what satelite would I be tuning into?

The Inverto is a single lnb which allows you to receive one single satellite the monoblock allows reception of 2 different satellites together Astar @ 19.2 degreess East and Hotbird @ 13 degress East which gives you a vast range of channels including TGN (Thai global network)
