As my wife and I return to the UK I was hoping to find out if it is possible to get channels 3 & 7 in the UK wether it's through TV/sat or web?

We looked at the hotbird listings and no show we reconised on there and I can't find online versions myself.

Thanks in advance to all in the know

My wife can watch two Thai programmes on hotbird:-
1) TMC TV
2) TGN TV
She scans many sat's and informs me that is all we (She) can receive. So in short no Thai channel 3 & 7 as yet.

Hope that helps...... Janner

Just remind me is Hotbird the standard Sky satelite?
So if we tune in to the above frequency we can get some Thai channel?

No Andy, Hotbird is a different satellite that will require an additional 90cm dish.

The best option I think is to watch channels 3 & 7 programme (dramas) from http://www.doozija.com with contribution 400 baht or 10 dollars/month

As chula recommemned "doozija.com" is the best option to watch Thai series and Game shows on internet. The quality of the pictures aren't that good though.

I heard that you can connect TV with computer so you can watch Thai program on big screen.

Have a look at http://www.ip-tv.tv/tv/

Hi MakTB,

as trouble maker suggested go for
http://www.ip-tv.tv/tv/
It's by far the best although a little expensive and you'll need a broadband connection. My Thai wife has been watching it for over a year (not continuously Eeker) It has all the major channels and it's an tv ondemand system so you're not worried by the time difference and can call up a program aired previously and watch at any time.

We're really happy with this solution, just wish the price was a little lower.

Hope this helps

How do you get this ip-tv can anybody please help and also advise the cost. I can't seem to get any channels on my PC. I just keep getting the "waiting to connect" message. I have broadband. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

To get ip-tv go to this website www.thaitv.tv. Click on the banner advertising 'all this for $10'. On the next page you will see an option to register as a new customer. Click here and follow the registration procedure. When we signed up a few weeks ago the cost was $30 for 90 days unlimited access. You will need to enter credit card details for payment. The service is excellent and should give you all you ever need regarding thai tv in the uk !!

Not sure how to get the pin number for the free trial, although i have seen people requesting a pin number on the forum section of the website. I suspect it might be easier to get this free trial if you are in thailand.

Stamboy,

To get the trial pin number, either register yourself on the forum and request a pin number through the trial pinnumber forum (they will send you one to your private email address) or email info@thaitv.tv and request one. Either way works.

You can upgrade to a full subscription through this pin number later.
