I think the Thai bloke found it difficult because his wife "wears the trousers" in their relationship. Of all the couples the two in Zanzibar seem to most stable and happy.

All three women appeared to be independed free spirits who wanted to come down to earth before they got too old. The Thai chap probably understands why we farangs are not too keen on marrying "liberated women", and his comment about being a monk in the next life sums up his frustrations with being married to an amazon.

Still, how many men like him have a posh house in Samui? He can't complain too much.

the house on samui was bought by her parents,

did you see she mentioned see you in the divorce courts at the end, you think he will try and grab the land and house at some point.......

my wife has said the same about becoming lady monk, she never wants to be broken again...

Perhaps its all in his name anyway, and she'll be the one to have to try and grab some of it.

Any idea what such a house might have cost ?
