Very Interesting thanks for the link Henson
David & Aree. Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain -- and most fools do. |

On the Danish-Thai forum I have exchanged messages with the main creator of this documentary, the social anthropologist Sine Plambech. She is ayoung researcher who has spent 4 years doing field work in both Denmark and Isarn. This is why the Thais in thedocumentary are so open and honest.
It is evident that Sine Plambech is aware of prejudices and tries to dispel them. She has been far more approachable than many British TV producers I have exchanged emails with. After all, most other producers will not have made such an effort researching a topic and are probably still quite prejudiced or just don't give a damn about confirming or dispelling prejudices. Sine Plambech does. A lot of Danish men have criticised the documentary thinking that they are made to look foolish. I cannot see it as anything but a fairly balanced documentary - both sides are presented in a sympathetic light I think. (The guy always carrying the small dog around has an unfortunate way with words though |
