Neil, In case you don't get a reply, Aom uses www.thaitv.tv to watch Thai TV and it suits her better than the TV, it is subscription and costs about £5 a month if memory serves correctly. You will need a good broadband connection though.

Neil, Try to get the ESOL course that contains the Citizenship content rather than just standard ESOL if at all possible. There are numerous access numbers and methods for cheap phone calls to Thailand (even free), mentioned in the "Phone Calls" section of this forum and the forum recieves a cut from a good one. We use 18185 though charges are here http://www.18185.co.uk/rates.php. It does include a 4p connection charge though eg a 1 minute call is 5p and 10 minute call is 14p. You need to register and give them your phone number/numbers & card details to bill you. They provide monthly invoice with the number dialled, date, time, duration and cost. Aom almost always has clear line and good connection. all you do is then, BT line/Talk Talk line, dial 1818500668.... instead of 00668, you will get a shock on your normal bill is you do the later , they have a recorded message re charge just before connecting you.

You can also check out this website for cheap calls Money Saving ExpertMobiles for 1p per minute (no connection charge, no registration). Worth checking every now and again as sometime these offers do stop but you will always be informed when you dial the number.
