Guys/Gals - does anybody know what format(s) my Karaoke machine should be able to play if I want to purchase discs from Thailand as well.

I have seen one that is being run-out at the local discount electrical store - but it would obviously be a "false economy" if it can't play the discs from Thailand.

It says it will also play DVD's - so at worse I will end up with a spare oversized DVD player - ha ha Cry LOL Cry

seriously as always any advice greatly appreciated

Skippy Thumbs Up

Sorry mate, i'm not that genned up on it myself, it's just that every karaoke disc we've brought back have been VCD and not CDG.
So if it doesn't mention VCD i'd look elsewhere as i've had a quick look on the net and there are players that will accept both, Happy Hunting :-)

That I think stands for CD Graphics which is not the same as VCD and probably would not be able to play them.

When my wife first came over last year we tried about three different machines without success before I gave up. Shrug

If your planning to go to Thailand in the near future it would probably be best to buy there and bring back.

See this old thread as well:- Karaoke
