Is anyone having signal problems from sky tv at the minute UKTV Gold2 and few other channels seem to be breaking up since yesterday , up to now they have been fine and the Digibox reports a good signal.

Mine seems ok.

Have had problems in the past and because it is out of warranty they wanted 65 quid to come and look at it. Being out of warranty though meant that I was also out of the obligatory 12 month contract.

That being the case I have on two occassions told them to cancel the subscription as I am not prepared to pay to fix the problem. On both occassions they sent an engineer to fix the problem within 2 days free of charge - rather than loose a customer.

Hi Ash,

I have had the same in the past. I just turn off sky box at the mains for 30/60 seconds and turn back on again. It usually works, but it maybe in your case, something different?

How's the weather in Swizterland?
Mine tends to break up if there's heavy cloud cover.

We have clouds but its unusual to have problems here for more than an hour or so this is intermittent and has been for 2 days.

Ron I will try shutting off the sky box but I have a suspicion that someone might have moved the satellite disha fraction when cleaning it

I have to go to the UK a week on Sunday so worst case I can pick up a new receiver a good excuse to get skyplus and HD
