I hope someone can help me with this question, I need to know what the immunisation programme for children is in Thailand as both my children were born there and have immunisation books but I can't read Thai and my wife can't translate into English. I do not want my children to have too many un-necessary injections.

Hope someone can help.

If you can scan the book or ask your wife typing in Thai here, I will translate it for you.

Hi Andrew

I think MMR, BCG, DPT, OPV and Typhoid are usually included on a full program.

The one I've noticed which is specific to this region is Japanese Encephalitis, a mosquito borne virus common throughout Southeast Asia. Highly recommended that it be given to children living in Thailand, not necessary in the UK.

I'll try to get a schedule in English from our local hospital and post it here in the next few days to let you know the details.

Even better, as khaokang mentions, if you can scan the book you have, email it to me - paul@thailand-uk.com - for translation and I'll post it here. That way we'll be able to let you know what stage they are at with their immunisations to date.

Regards

Paul พอล
