Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone out there could assist with some info about insurance for visitors while in the Uk.
Am going in a couple of weeks to apply for(tourist) visit visa (have read the posts here and some great advice ,thanks). My girlfriend was in a bike crash in march and although she is ok now she did suffer head trauma and has been anable to work etc since then.I do not want this to go against the application and therefore was wanting to take out insurance for her stay here.
Does anyone know of any companies dealing with this sort of thing??
Any advice would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks.

Good advice from A & A but be aware of the "pre existing conditions" clause which will void any claim from medical conditions existing prior to taking out a poliy!

I am an Insurance man and all medical/Life/Travel policies have this clause! Nod

Agreed...If you don't tell your insurers about any "pre-existing" condition...if god forbid anything happens...you'll be stuffed...like everything in life...it always pays to tell the truth... Smiler

PLUS...it'll probably only mke a few quid difference on the premium anyway...

Hope you get the visa and she has a safe and enjoyable trip...

I was going to give full disclosure but was thinking it would be hard to get insurance until she gets here , but its catch22 ,maybe have a problem if nothing in place before we apply but can't have anything in place until she arrives.
I will give BUPA a call and see what they say as some documentation (quote) is better than having nothing.
Thanks for the advice its good to know this forum exists!
