Keith & Mol,

Thank you! Thank you both! You've just taken the level of sponsorship to three hundred quid! It's so amazing, thank you!

When this started just a few weeks ago, I felt that we'd pull together a hundred pounds or so, so to reach 300 is totally amazing! (And that's not even counting Jenny's sponsors too). Thank you for helping us reach this far.

As for the costume, well I was planning to wear a pair of 100Baht flip flops. What do you think?

Thanks again mate.

Well, It'd do wonders for my speed! I'd probably break the course record!

(Urgh, this is beginning to feel like one of those awful dreams where you're running a marathon in nothing but a pair of cheap Thai flip flops Crazy)

colin244,

Thank you! Thank you so much for the donation! Thank you from me, and on behalf of the Orphanage. Thank you mate.

And, if you do decide to come on the day, it would be great to meet you. Send me a PM nearer the day and I'll give you my mobile number etc.

Thanks again Colin for your great support and generosity.

Marcus

Conrad,

Time for a confession now....

... I haven't run at all since Sunday! Last week I badly sprained my ankle when I was blinded by some car headlights on a late night training run, and on Sunday I foolishly went for a loooong cross country jog ignoring the pain.

Monday morning, and I could hardly walk to work!

But, never fear, it's getting better quickly and I'll be literally up and running again soon.

The point of all this.....?

Because donations such as your kind and generous donation is what makes me get up and out there.

So, thank you from me. And, of course, a huge thanks on behalf of the Pattaya Orphanage. You're helping kids with a lot more to worry about than a sprained ankle.

Thank you Conrad.

Ash,

Eeker Eeker Eeker

First I fell off the chair. Then I checked. Then I checked again. Then I PM-ed you to check again.

Eeker Eeker Eeker

I'm simply lost for words (yes, probably a jolly good thing at times), I don't know what to say.

Every donation and every pledge is wonderful and valuable and an indication of kindness and generosity and downright loveliness. The tenners, the fivers, they all represent such goodness and care for others it makes everything brighter and better.

But there's not many in this world who would, even if they could afford it, be quite so generous. Thank you Ash. Thank you and your family.

I want to go on and on, but I know my speechlessness is the best response. From me and on behalf of all those Thai kids...

....Thank You.

Thank you.

Marcus,

I hope you make a speedy recovery and also pace yourself. I hope the donations for yourself, Jenny and all other participants make you realise how jai di you and your efforts are and even from those who are not making donations to you must be wishing you well. I am ashamed to say that I am one of these and I will not be making a monetry donation, heart felt thanks to those who have and will do (I do as much as I can my own seperate way), but my thoughts, feelings and best wishes are in abundance for you and all the participants!

Keep up the good work and good luck Thumbs Up

IanB-UK,

Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement! It is really kind of you to express your support like that, thank you!

Lots of people do lots of things to help in different ways. I've got friends in Bangkok that can't afford to sponsor me but that send constant good wishes. My family can't afford to sponsor me, but are supporting me with transport and other practicalities on the day. Other mates of mine already give so much in various directions that I haven't felt very good about approaching them even.

I understand that there are thousands of good causes, and thousands of good people doing what they can to support them. A run like this hopefully just provides an extra opportunity for people to do something nice if they are able to.

So thank you to those that have sponsored the Thailand-UK runners. Thank you to those that have written expressing your support. And thank you to everyone that wishes us well.

Hello to everyone on Thailand-UK,

It has been really amazing to see all the donations coming through, and this really does help to keep the motivation going especially when the weather has been so un-inspiring.

Although, things haven't been too bad here in the midlands and it looks like things might be improving, but I don't want to speak too soon!

I think I've sent a message to everyone who has donated- but I'd like to say a big thank you again anyway, it really is great how things have taken off and every penny does count for the Pattaya Orphanage.
Kevin & Pha- thanks for your kind donation, I tried to PM you but I'm not sure if you're on the list.

Marcus- thanks for featuring me in your signature, I know you are a regular poster on here so I'm sure it has helped make a big difference in terms of getting the message out there about what we are doing and why- cheers!

I hope the training is going well, I guess you have a little bit longer to get in to peak form for the Halstead one- the London marathon is only 6 weeks away now, rapidly approaching on the horizon!

Once again, thank you to everyone for your support- financially and, equally, the kind words of encouragement. It all helps to keep me going for marathon, and most importantly, gives support to a great cause.

Thank you! That was a very very kind donation. Thanks mate.

I was a bit worried about the donations drying up, but then again I wouldn't be surprised as the good people on this forum have already been far more than generous and I'd never have believed that the run could raise so much money.

Thank you again to everyone.

Meanwhile the training is going really badly! That dodgy ankle is as dodgy as ever and my aim now is simply to finish this marathon, no matter how long it might take to complete!

But thank you again for all the pledges and donations, without them I'd be doing no running at all and the kids in Pattaya would have a lot less to be grateful for too.

Thank you everyone at Thailand-uk.com!

Thank you! Thank you for the beautiful PM, and thank you for the very very kind sponsorship.

I know that you gave more than you could really afford, and on behalf of the kids at the Pattaya Orphanage, I want to say Thank You.

You really are very very kind.

All the best mate.

And all the best to all the good people here at Thailand-UK!

Thank you BigRed!

Thank you so much!

I seem to remember you giving me some good advice here on Thailand-UK years ago when I was applying for Dao's visa (but can't now remember what it was!) and now you've taken my sponsorship through the £500 mark! That's so amazing! Thank you so much!

Thank you BigRed. And thank you to all the incredibly good people here on this this site.

Thank you James

Thank you so much. Thank you for the great support, and thank you for bringing the total amount raised up to the magic number of 555!

But thank you most of all for your generosity towards the Pattaya Orphanage and all those kids that will be so much better off because of your kindness.

And that goes to you James and everyone else who has been so super generous here. Thank you.

And Good Luck tomorrow Jenny! Thumbs Up

Hello/Sawatdee ka to everyone here,
Well, today was the big day...& I did it!!

There was an amazing atmosphere there, despite the rain, with lots of people dressed up in outfits etc. I got round in about 4hrs50, very hard work though I think I still had a smile on my face at the finish!

I want to say a big thank you to everyone on here who has donated & given encouragement, it has all helped to raise an excellent amount for the Pattaya Orphanage- I'm so pleased as I know it will go a long way over in Thailand.

Marcus- thanks for the good luck, I hope your training is back on track & the ankle isn't too painful. Keep on with the preparations, it will be worth it in the end Smiler

Once again, thank you, you've all been fantastic.

Nice one Jenny, an amazing achievement, I think Tobias is wrong, one bottle isn't enough Razzer. I would personally drink more. Nod Smiler Saying that, you can tell really that Toby doesn't normally drink. Big Grin

I watched the whole event today for the first time, having a baby seems to make you get up earlier than I used to on a Sunday.

What a fantastic event, in fact, I was so impressed, next year I reckon I might get up early & watch it again! LOL LOL

Congratulations Applause Applause Applause

Not long now Marcus, don't let us down, Jenny's set the time now as well! Thumbs Up Smiler

Brilliant effort, Jenny, did anybody see you on the telly?

Sorry to be dense but I originally made a pledge but I don't know how to turn that into a donation. Do I just make the donation as a new entry on your list and then you delete the pledge?

Thanks everybody!

Gordie T Geordie- I had an email from the Justgiving website & it said that all pledges will be paid automatically by the beginning of May and these will then appear as 'donations' on the page...so there is no need to do anything.

I watched the highlights but couldn't spot myself (there were over 35,000 people so there was only a slim chance!)& have been checking the London marathon website for finishing photos. Although, I did see Jade Goody around mile 7 walking & babbling into her mobile phone...
