Hi all,

My wife is trying to settle here in the UK and is not doin a bad job but here in Newport S. Wales we don't have a lot o Thai food supplies. I have ordered from Thai4UK and they are good but sometimes need something a bit sooner (like sour mangoes at the moment).

Anyway, does anyone know where I can get Thai spaghetti from? I believe it's called Kanom Jin? It's the long white noodle used with curries? Cheers all

Hi Mak,
The wife said you can get what you need in TESCO,look for SHARWOODS RICE NOODLES,great for PAD THAI.
Boil for 5 minutes and then put in cool water, then it will be Kanom Jin Confused
Hope this helps

Hi

You could try http://www.thai-skymarket.com.
They are based in Cardiff. We have used them a few times, a large choice of fresh fruit and salad as well. They are very good.

Mak,
Are there any Asian shops near you? We have found that our local Asian supermarket stocks many items, including green mangos.

hand brand khanon jeen are regarded as the best pack size 200gm 60 per case.

star lion khanon jeen noodle these are steamable type
180 gm 40 per case.

rice stick noodles 3mm 5mm 10mm 375gm 30 per case

tomoshriga japanese somen noodle are used by thai in large quantity as the khanon jeen are only imported by two companies into the uk.

the sharwoods that you are using are good and as you say fry well just like vermicelli noodles.

i can help you source thai products the order needs to be £800.00 delivered thats not much between five or six people.
