Does anyone have any more information about the telephone system James describes below:
We're looking at having a landline installed for Thaiboi's parents and this system sounds like it might work very well for them. Also, as an alternative, is there a central number for new landline connections in Thailand similar to how we'd phone a central BT number from anywhere in the UK? Thanks. |

All numbers beginning 08 are mobile numbers so that may not be the same system James mentions, which he says was allocated a landline number. Paul พอล เข้าเมืองตาหลิ่วต้องหลิ่วตาตาม |

Hi Cliff,
I'll see if I can find out the name of the phone company for you, though it may not be easy without me seeing a bill. As i said before,
I would guess that this system is used in rural areas around Khon Kaen too, Paul? I'm pretty sure I've seen them around Ban Sida and Prathai which are about half way to Khon Kaen. We have a 044 number which I believe is the Nakhon Ratchasima province dialling code. J |

Hi,
I've been forwarded an email from friend which originally came from someone who lives in the Phimai area.
