Hello Everyone,

My wife and I are going back to Thailand for a month in March and we are taking our 13 month old daughter with us.
What I want to know, is there baby food in tins or jars available to buy, and if so where from ?.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

dear john and pat
you will find uk branded baby food in jars in bangkok and large districs for sure. but if you are going to venture to more rural areas or islands it would be worth stocking up in bkk first. nappies, milk etc are available everywhere in 7-11's, tesco-lotus, foodland and chemists. if you get stuck in an emergency, mix up some mashed banana with soft rice.

I have just spoken to a woman in my office who has a 1 year old , and she tells me that there are two main brands namely
GERBER and HEINZ. They are readily available at most supermarkets but she reckons the best place is the TOPS supermarket at any CENTRAL PLAZA , as they have the widest variety.
