What are the laws on taking seeds and growing veg in another country, me and the missus want to take various different veg for the family to try and grow...

It is illegal to import plants or any other planting materials (which will certainly include seeds) into Thailand without a permit from the Department of Agriculture.

Ooops! We took some tulip bulbs out on our last trip.

Not that they sprouted or anything. The transition from freezing cold to 30 degrees humid probably confused the poor things!

Oooops, so did I.

I took loads of vegetable seeds a few years back, tomatoes, beans, cucumber, leeks, swede etc.

No idea if they were grown successfully, probably not.

We took many packets of seeds to LOS three years ago, runner beans failed also Tomatoes, Sweetpeas,and Hollyhocks, Morning Glory went mad, brought Long Bean seed back, it reached the roof in the greenhouse but no long beans Roll Eyes


(never ever steal! the government hates the competition.)

we get seeds sent from thailand via ebay, we use a heated propogator to bring them to life. results so far are promising. just got to put together the greenhouse . Confused
