Can anybody recommend the best books for the theory test for a Thai who can read English and has a Thai driving licence.

I looked in Smiths this lunch time and didn't know where to start.

THanks

Hi Martin

The bestselling book is the official DSA one as follows:

The Official Theory Test for Car Drivers and The Highway Code

Coming in a close second is this one from the AA:

AA Theory Test: The Official Questions and Answers

Alternatively, the bestselling interactive CD-ROMs are these:

Driving Test Success Theory 2004/2005

Driving Test Success Hazard Perception

The following is a 6 CD compilation of four titles; Practical, Theory, Hazard Perception and Route Finder:

Driving Test Success DELUXE 04/05 - Compilation Pack

Martin,
If you go to Morrisons in Woking you can buy the theory and hazard perception on 2 CDs for £5.99! (If there's any left, I've sent a few new pupils there lately.)

My Wife is taking her Theory test tomorrow. She's been using the top two publications that Maokaang posted above. She prefers the second one if that's any help.

I would recommend the Driving Test Success cd's, Nang passed 1st time by using them and putting in many hours of hard work.

Also when we booked the test we specified that we wanted the test where the questions are "read" to you.

good luck!

If you are giving your Thai partner practical driving experience in addition to professional lessons with an ADI, then this site is helpful :-

http://www.2pass.co.uk/

Check out the Learner driving forum. ADI's giving lots of useful advice (None from Woking Shrug)

Especially if it was a while ago when you took your own test. Roll Eyes
