Can't help you with London Peter, but if you fancy a trip out, there's a restaurant called Suki Yaki in St Albans that's been recommended to me.

Cheers

Don't get much call for that sort of restaurant in Wales so we bought the kitchenware to cook it ourselves.

We bought ours in Thailand but I'm sure you can get the stuff you need in the asian supermarkets over here.

You've made me hungry now.

Regards
Lee

I did think about setting up a restuarant last year (should be a post somewhere)

You can buy suki sauce in most chinese supermarkets.

We bought our suki cooker last year in udon for around 800 baht.

Tesco's will slice beef and pork as thin as you want, so all you need to do is buy some prawns, squid fish balls and vegetables (again mosdt large chinese supermarkets)

this is a far better option than going out!!

There is a place though at the Oriental Supermarket in Pimlico which does suki if you do want to go somewhere.

Funny though it would cost 1000 baht in thailand and about £50 here for the same thing.

We use the rice cooker - great results!

Anybody know if you can buy the table top BBQ sets over in the UK, you know the ones where you cook the meat on the metal plate and the soup, veg, and noodles around the edges.

There is a chinese restaurant in Lewisham which does a chinese version of Suki Yaki. My wife and her friend say it's very good, i don't like the experience myself. Can't remember the name of it but it's the largest Chinese in Lewisham. If it's not too far for you and you want directions let me know.
