Hi everyone

As a treat for Nidnoi I ordered green mangoes etc from Sawasdee Foods, from the link on the forum Home page. This was 3 weeks ago. So far no food and just one email saying they were late cashing my cheque.

Now the phone number is temporarily unavailable and my last email was turned back.

Does anyone know if they've gone bust or is the service just very bad?

If so I see that there is an Order Tracking facility on their website. Have you tried that?

At the very bottom of that webpage is the company name and number. Those two pieces of information do not tie up! There is a company of that name, but its number is different. The last four digits are the same, as is the first. If you do manage to contact them you might like to point that the error in the other two digits.

Read the guestbook, seems you're not the only one with this problem

When I tried the order tracking and the Live Helper they both did nothing. I think gthe website owners stopped paying heir subscriptions.

I just checked the guestbook and yes it looks like it's all over. Is there any point phoning trading standards? I suppose I could at least get the site shutdown - I think it still allows orders to be placed.

Oh, and we should get the link removed from here too.

i have an account with prompt thai 2000 who supply this shop
with some goods on monday i shall telephone them to see if they are due monies.

ps Daniel Pope is director of sawasdee foods (owner)from what i understand they live above the shop or did.

our supplier has not received orders for couple months from sawasdee foods shop the account was c.o.d at that stage.

pete you could try tong fong wholesale in exeter for mangos they will order them should you wish.

Pete, you might want to contact the local police too. If they have presented the cheque for payment and have no intention to fulfil the order then a criminal offence has been committed.
