I bought a couple of books in Asia Books and one from the airport. These were tourist guides to the UK and Europe.

When I get home I will check the titles.

Andy,

my previous posting indicated book shop chains nationwide. Also, Chula Books are bound to have something if she's passing by that side of town.

Asia Books tend to stock only English literature. They have lot of the Lonely Planets and Rough Guides but I'm not sure there'll be any travel books in Thai though.
AB is a fantastic bookshop and I ususally spend 2-3hrs in there each trip to LOS. Can't walk away without buying something!

The books I bought were in thai but it could have been just a fluke that they had them in stock

The other place I have seen thai tourist guides was in the bookshops in the BigC shopping complex in Udon Thani and others.

my eife has a recent guidebook that we brought in central bangna.

its a thai version of a very popular guidebook brand, which i can't remember the name of right now but will go home and search for it and post the name

but what i will say is that the info, compared to the lonelyplanet, in the book is old and i don't think it would be much use to any thai travelling around the UK. and this book was the most up to date book in the shop Shrug

Asia Books in Siam Discovery has Lonely Planet guide books. Some are available in Thai. As I remember UK and USA are written in Thai but there are not many copies.
