Can anyone advise a market/shop in the Nottingham/Derby/Leicester/East midlands area that has a good selection, and reasonably priced seafood selection?
WE have not had a problem with the Thai/lao food, shopping in the asian supermarkets for her vegetables/sauces and spices, Tesco provides us with most of the other produce, but she is getting real cravings for things we cant find, mainly big uncooked crabs, oysters, big prawns etc. cheers. Carlo |

Hyperama in Nottingham is pretty good for seafood, albeit frozen. I know at least one thai restaurant gets their stuff there.
Quite a few thais go to Bailey's fishmongers in the Lock-up Yard in Derby-about 4 fishmongers all together. They often buy the crab sticks and eat those in the Tiger pub opposite. Steve aka Rolyshark |

Morrisons sell a plastic container of uncooked prawns for about two pounds which are fresh and not frozen.

If you want to buy from Grimsby Fish market give one of the smaller fish merchants a call (yelleow pages) and they will deliver after all they come to a fish&chip shop near you anyway.
