Thanks Mervyn.

Aet - The question was asked on behalf of somebody who had contacted me via the Thailand-Uk website.

If you would like to ask them then send me a PM and I'll forward you their email address.

Thanks
Lee

Good idea Steve!

Sainsbury's have very nice raspberry wheat beer BTW, have you tried it?

Don't know if the person who asked the shiitake question (via the website) is for real !!
But in their second email "Many thanks for your reply. We are wanting to buy them direct from Thailand, in large quantities of approx 1000 - 5000kgs. Would you be able to give me any contact details for farmers/producers in Thailand?

5000kg of dried shiitake mushrooms would take up some bloody space Roll Eyes

Yes-very disappointed with it,but worth trying. Made with raspberry syrub or puree rather than the whole fruit I felt. The best is probably Drei Fonteinen Framboise/Framboos,but you'll be more likely to come across Timmermans,Liefmans or Belle Vue,which have a tendancy to be over-priced Bah!
Now they do have "Aventinus" by Schneider. Thumbs Up A complex wallop of a beer-a dark/ruby wheatbeer, malty yet roasted taste with hints of bitterness and rounded chocolate notes. It used to be on draught regularly at this time of year in in de Wildeman in Amsterdam. A billy bargain at Sainsburys at £1.89 a 500 ml bottle. 8% btw. Don't tell anyone... Wink

Bokbier Festival Amsterdam

Ah the Bokbier festival.
The one that runs from the 28 - 30th October.

So are you thinking about this year or next Steve for a group meeting there?

This is not just a vicious ploy to get us all to acompany you to the Leather Pride - Playgrounds event that runs on the same dates now is it now Steve.??

Amsterdam's Leather Pride is the biggest European leather-rubber-fetish party on the circuit. Expect a weekend of wild abandon and kinky fun as the city celebrates with two huge parties.

Shrouded in sexy mystique, Leather Pride Amsterdam promises to deliver the best in adult entertainment. Up to 1500 men gather together to dance the night away and explore their wildest sexual desires.

The organisers keep the exact location of the party a secret, but revellers commune in Amsterdam's Central Station area to get a free shuttle to the large labyrinthine "playgrounds". On Friday night the Fight Club Fetish Dance Party features DJ Steven Redant while the main event on Saturday night, the Strict Leather Rubber Party, features DJ Jack Chang. The dress code is very strict - leather and fetish gear only. You may be punished if you disobey the rules.

Tobias / Keith ... you have been warned.

LOL

Damn,rumbled again! Blush

Actually the Bokbier festival is only 100 yards from the infamous gay club the Cockring and you quite often see the leather and rubber boys passing by.
As I've said before the Bokbier festival is a great event and a CAMRA card gets you discounted/free entry.
