Can anyone tell me how much a fridge will cost in thailand.

the wife wants to buy her gran a new one, nothing too fancy just a pretty much standard one.

We will be in udon thani in a couple of weeks so we will probably be looking to buy one in Big C or Tescos

any help would be appreciated

Nick

We last paid approx 8000 baht for a big one from Big C in Udon.

They range from 5000 baht if my memory serves.

Hi Zohak, Go to http://www.tescolotus.net, then click on shopping then hardline, next appliances, there are a few fridges to choose from, and it is nice to browse also.

( Link modified by Admin to correct error in original, it works now Thumbs Up )

thanks for the responses guys all very helpful.

To be honest my wife didnt realise how expensive they would be, I actually thought they were cheap!

She seems to have changed her mind a bit, moaning that her uncle (who lives with Gran) never does anything to help and why should she buy a fridge for him to use and not help out.

Makes me love my wife more every day when you realise she counts the pennies more than i do!!

Zohak,

After I read your post and before reading Chugwell's, I jokingly thought that maybe you should get one of those Heinekin Fridges from here and have it shipped to Thailand. After reading Chugwell's post, I thought, no, get 2, sorry!
