Hello all,
Friends of mine here in Portugal are keen to import some Thai furniture. They saw some wonderful carved tables when on holiday there but have lost the contact details. They say they went to a government sponsored craft centre whilst on a tourist trip, somewhere close to BKK on the way back from the Floating Market. Where might that be? Does anyone have contact details and/or website? Thanks for any info. John B nao faz mal means mai pen rai |

I think I went on that tour some 10 years ago consequently my memory is not so good. I think the craft centre was sponsored by the Queen or at least had her name in the title.(Probably both) Perhaps you could do a search based on that.
Sorry I couldn't be more specific. |

Hi John
I think it may be Bang Sai Craft Centre. Sponsored by the Queen as Noel rightly says. Link here to website including a location map The four region village is worth a look with traditional buildings from the regions built in gardens surrounding a lake. |
