The former rock star Gary Glitter has been detained in Vietnam following allegations that he indulged in lewd acts with a minor, according to state-controlled local media.
Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was reportedly stopped at Vietnam's southern Ho Chi Minh City airport by an immigration officer who recognised his name from a newspaper article.

He was widely known to be wanted by police investigating him on charges of "obscene acts with a child".

Glitter was trying to board a flight to Bangkok when he was stopped. He was picked up in the afternoon and taken to southern Ba-Ria Vung Tau province, it said. It was unclear whether he was traveling alone or with someone.

I really hope they will keep him in Vietnam.
His unapologetic crimes almost make you hope that the Vietnamese will re-enact a scene from the film which my avatar picture relates to. I will say no more, but some members should be able to envisage the justice I have in mind.

There is a programme on BBC3 tonight at 21.00 called "Come Home Gary Glitter". It is about 2 men's search for the fallen glam rock star throughout SEA before he ended up in Vietnam.

The programme,"Come Back Glitter" BBC3 about Child Sex abuse in Cambodia is truly sickening!! Surely there must be better ways of our countries to help cuntries like Cambodia make this stop. Apparently Gutter Glitter has been doing this since 2003. A high-profile character with his own mansion doing this in a good neighbourhood of Phnom Penh. Neighbours saying that he "took care" of kids. Makes you sick.
