Big thread on Thai Visa about it.

If every currupt politician in Thailand was put in prison, they'd be full in a week...Bit like the UK really Bah!

Probably will never do a day inside...but it's a start.

I guess thats a joke. Please name a UK politician who has personally benefitted from corruption in the last 10 years. Then name one in histroy who has trousered millions or billions of pounds.

The war criminal Tony Blair seems to be doing alright.

You are incredibly naive to even think that no politicians have personally benefitted from corruption in the UK. It goes on all the time.

What Derek Conway did was daft and deplorable. Basically he was fiddling his expenses - something that if I did I would rightly be sacked.

However, it is not what I would call corruption in the sense of "the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any thing of value to influence the action of a public official whether in the UK or overseas"

The only examples that I can think of nationall are cash for honours and the F1 tobacco sponsorship deal, which are both disgusting but the money was trousered by the Labour Party (and the Tory party in the case of cash for honours) not individual politicians.

Ooops sorry Paul - cross posted! However, there is an ongoing issue on the forum that people make off topic silly comments and these should be challenged.
