And if you don't like it you can take a running jump.

I was only commenting on the racist issues you opened the post with. My opinion was there was no racist content other than the guy's own claims. Do I want him and his family to have decent housing? Of course I do! just don't agree with the way he went about it. The housing problem is a whole different issue but your OP was regarding racism and you are correct I don't like it.

I feel sorry for his wife, as the Thai's are normally very funny about airing their dirty laundry in the public arena. Some of the comments made by the readers are typically unhelpful, but hey that's people and expected. In my view (for what it's worth) he is a tax payer and entitled to use the council points system to get a bigger house if that is the system. My reasons being; there are many other really undesirable scumbags that have done a lot worse than marry a foreign national who has 2 kids. He pay's his [I presume] rent and is merely trying to "up" the size of his council house, that's all! He had this council flat before he married [another presumtion]. The article doesn't infer that he is claiming benefits, so how anyone say he is a scrounger defies belief . As for the Thai bride comments "this has to be expected, there are bigots out there and it is easy for them to hide behind usenames on a website". If he has reasonable belief that the council IS being racist then he IS entitled like ANY of us to make a claim and get to the bottom of it, if they [council] are not guilty then they [council]have nothing to fear. All council's have complaints procedures and he is entitled like anyone to use them or any other reasonable means to make/get his feelings aired. Airing these in a public arena is a dangerous thing but can have benefits aswell.
Personally, I cant see how he is entitled to anything based on the increase of his family if they [wife and kids] have anything less than ILR?
I say good luck to him, and if he is not trying to jump above genuine people that are in more need [based on the points system]and it is a genuine feeling that he is being victimised then all power to the bloke.
