Anyone have news of how the crazy scheme to close the beach road from Dusit to Walking street on Fri, Sat & Sun went on?

Second road is a pain to cross at the best of times but turning it in to two way traffic for the weekend I can only imagine was absolute chaos.

The plans have been temporarily shelved to allow more time to consider the effects. Dave

Blimey, I only left on the Friday morning (4 am) it was supposed to start and it was still going ahead the night before.

I did not think it had been thought through too well.

I suppose it's "watch this space"

Walking the tight rope pavement avoiding the suit salesman will never seem the same again. Does this plan apply to farangs on bikes or does the local taxation scheme still run.
No doubt the blue pick up trucks will ignore all the rules.
Wink Wink
Perhaps the bus service could be restarted along the beach road.

We have big size for you. Very cheap sir.
I will miss telling them i am not interested.
To be honest, they will be able to follow you across the road towards the beach. I can see a few people trying to swim to walking street as a safer option

More likely TIP (Pattaya).
Avid followers of the Pattaya business plan and scene will be aware of the flagrant breaches of planning permission of Nang Nual restaurant with the resultant order for closure and relocation.
Likewise the revamping of Sunnee Plaza, not least to clear the paedophiles.
And the demolition of all the beach side of Walking Street to provide vistas for the "proper" businesses and of course the construction of the new highway in their stead.
There was also a rumour that the water companies would ensure a water supply between 4am and 9pm....dream on LOL
