This week has been jittery with government figures fretting over coup rumors and what would happen if someone threw a bomb into Sodhi's supporters. On Thursday, the courts rejected an arrest warrant for Sodhi while the Army Chief vowed that "there will never be another coup d'etat in Thailand."
Many will be watching to see if the slow escalation of allegations of government misconduct will continue.
