May ruffle a few feathers but I thought this was brilliant:

NEW YORK – The rest of the world has delivered a heart-felt apology to Thailand for the countless abuses of Thai culture it has made over the decades, unanimously passing a motion at the United Nations that begs Thais to “forgive the world forever for all past and any future actions that offend the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, given that Thai culture makes absolutely no sense to outsiders.”

The motion, put forward by Japan and the United Kingdom and featuring apologies from the Japanese diplomatic corps, YouTube executives, Manchester City fans and Christina Aguilera, declares that “we are sorry for not grasping more clearly the complexities, contradictions and hypocrisy of your society.”

The motion concluded: “We do not ask for you to understand or respect our cultures because we know that would be asking too much, but only for you to forgive us for not having the capacity to respect your own.”

The vote was 174 to zero, with the Thai Ambassador to the UN also voting in favor of the motion, claiming it was a victory for the Thai people.
