Ko Samui seems to on the receiving end of yet more floooding.

Last week the Island was cut off due to poor weather with Ko Samui and Don Sak declared disaster areas.

Now, after two more days of heavy rain, Chawaeng Beach is flooded by about 3 feet of water (101 mm).

Brollies and wellies all round if you plan to visit there soon. I wonder if anyone from this forum is out there now?

Was talking tom my mate out there a few days back and he said the the place is trashed. Worst floods for 16 years apparently.

Choeng Mon, where we have some land had people jet skiing past the 7-11. Luckily we brought the land a bit up a hill.

Be there next month so hopefuly the rain will have stopped, November is always bad.

Not as bad as this, here is part of an email from my brother received today:

We have been having severe storms over here for the last 2 weeks and today we are on our 10th day of rain running. Many people have lost their homes and businesses washed away.We were closed for 2 days as all
the roads into Chaweng were flooded.I was trapped in my room for 2 days as my apartment building was under 6 ft of water and I had only instant noodles and a loaf to eat ! as I write its absolutely ****ing down and the roads are
starting to flood again.I honestly have never been so depressed out here .All the thais are miserable too.The old woman I buy the fruit from has been here 30years and told me she has never known it like this. There doesnt seem to be an end to it at all.Every time it stops you think, right thats it maybe, then 20 minuts later we get hit with another bout.3 people have been killed so far.
