The goverment is in a quandry it seems when the PM gives his Secretary-General Chusak Sirinil a commision to consider the removal of Thaskin's diplomatic passport but the SEC Gen said (Monday 20th Oct) that the foreign minister will be the one to decide whether to annul the diplomatic passport of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
Chusak said Prime Minister, Somchai Wongsawat, assigned him to study the issue but he thought the Foreign Ministry had regulations for considering the issue so he passed on the matter to the foreign minister.

Earlier Foreign Minister Sompong Amornwiwat said the issue should be decided by the prime minister.

So it would seem no one in the Thai government wants to be the one who accepts Thaskin's diplomatic passport as it could spell the political death knell for the one who does.
Khun Thaskin is still the boss and everyone knows it around government circles.

It seems the issue with Thaskins diplomatic passport has still not been resolved and the British Government has cancelled his visitors permit in this passport.
Thai government sources are said to still be looking into receiving it from khun Thaskin!!
Meanwhile prime minister Somchai said he doesn't follow individual cases so cannot comment. Not even your own brother in laws case Mr Somchai?
