I seem to be finding 18185 a bit unreliable these days from my mobile, I keep getting told I've entered an invalid number, or there is "no answer" before it has even had a chance to try to connect.

Is anyone else having problems?

I'm currently having some problems with 18185 from my land line.

On average, I'd say only 1 in 3 calls go through. No error, it just goes dead (as if someone hung up). Frowner

Not sure if it's just LOS as I rarely call elsewhere.

I'm using 08448612121 currently. No problems, 1p per min to Thai landline or mobile. All calls charged through my BT bill.

on the contrary, I have given up using 0844 8612121 as I always get an immediate response of "This number is engaged" whenever I try to call my wife on her mobile. This has been the case for a while now so I do not even bother trying. Has anyone else had this problem?

Best regards,

Dave.

I have had some problems with voice clarity with 18185 of late. However I have found that the earlier in the day you call the better the clarity. Satellite must be overloaded.

I don't have any problems if I call before 9am.

Has anyone tried :-

ReturnCall

Looks rather competitive for calls to Thailand, and indeed to the UK, from a mobile, especially where the UK mobile is a pay-as-you-go.

All I can say is my wife has been in Thailand since 26/12 and I have rung her every day since with no problems. Before she went she used it for about four months several times a day every day with no problems.

Didn't like this in the small print John : " *Once you run out of returncall credit, you will automatically receive a 5 pound recharge. To unsubscribe from this service please text RETURN OFF"

i.e. you are automatically recharged until you actively request the service terminated. Eeker

There are many cheap numbers out there guys, try these:

Must say the 2121 number for 1 p indeed is unreliable, I prefer to use 08444623131 (2p) which is more stable and reliable. On the other hand I also use Voipdiscount at the moment (as long as they keep giving me 300 minutes per week for free) and they standard charge 0.7p normal rate. Quality even better then the 2p one but to have the mrs use the pc will probably be more training then the phone (which as all thais she knows how to use as by genetical inheritance Wink )

We are also having problems with 18185. Aparently the phine rings in Thailand but when they answer they hear nothing from the UK end.

Annoying because I liked their service.

I had that on and off for a while but it's got worse lately with the problems in my original post.
