hi all

im just a little lost at the moement with all these cheap call numbers, ive been using telesavers for 3 years 08444397397 from a landline phone and paying 1p then 2p now 3p a min,ive tried many new numbers that say 1p/2p min and it sounds like the same company but they say there is no capicty. do anyone know any up to date numbers i can try.

i also have a contract with o2 which has well by finished its 12 months contract, and i like the idea that i can use my free inclusive mins to call thailand.just trying to save my pennies here so i can spend them with my fiancee in the los next week.
what a great site this is and thanks to all

Hi Mike,

The numbers I currently use are 0844 200 8585 @ ½p per min (landline to landline) and 0844 861 2121 @ 1p per min (landline to mobile). There’s no need to register, just ring the relevant number, listen to the operator then dial the number you require. Simple to use and as clear as a bell.

Hope this saves you a few bob Wink

free O2 calls
quote:
The only cost to you will be the charge your network operator makes for calling our access number. Most network operators charge standard UK calling rates for calls to these numbers. Some, including Orange, T Mobile and 02, even include these calls FREE within your inclusive cross network minutes i.e free within your bundle!

Athough there are cheaper options I & Dao use the T-UK number 08445550131 which I understand makes a donation to this forum and have not had any problems connecting with LOS using it with 2 exceptions:-

1. Dao tried to call her sister in france using it then I explained different code

2. When it rains in the village the landline in family house won't work

On the whole a very good service and better than the 80p pm my mobile operator was charging me! Mad

O2's free text allowance only applies to the UK. don't know about the others, check their websites.

But sending texts via an 0844 number or similar should count as a UK text I would of thought.

If you use 02 the calls to the Thailand-UK service 0844 555 0131 are included in your free minutes and by using that number you are supporting the forum.

If you use the number Ron mentions, then you are likely to be charged by o2 - 50p per minute on my tariff. Be careful with those 07 numbers, many are NOT included in free allowances - it all depends on which tariff you are on!

My Text to LOS with Orange are about 12p sometimes 14p if its a long one.

By the way, Virgin are doing a good deal at the moment according to their advert in the Express today.

One problem to be aware of with 3 is that some of the phones they supply need to be reprogrammed to work in Thailand. One Nokia, I think it is the 6630, cannot be made to work in Thailand as far as I know.

Some of the 3rd party variatons on those 3 deals are ridiculous. I took up a call centre offer with a tariff offering 400 mins and 250 texts (both doubled for 3 months) plus 25 MMS, 25 mins of video calls, 30 Mb of internet data and £5.00 worth of downloads - basically a new game every month! With half-price line rental and cashback, the cost for that (including a new Motorola V3x) is £5.99 per month!!

Hi guys

Have posted this before but was removed as I apparently posted in the wrong place. Hope it doesn't happen this time.

I always check this site http://callchecker.moneysavingexpert.com/intcallchecker/
before I dial any othere numbers as this chap is pretty good at checking cheapest options available. Dial the access numbers listed. As yet I have never had a capacity full problem. The numbers do change so it is worth checking here before you dial.

Hi all, i have finally got round to getting a contract mobile with Orange and i have read a few of the posts about chepa calls.

Just looked at the 0844 site and they are currently atating 0.5p to landlines and 1p to mobiles. I am assuming that this would be from a uk landline?

what i want is to call a Thai landline and mobile from my contract mobile without a huge bill, so anybody else who does this can you let me know what my options are?

I used to be indecisive.....but now i'm not so sure!!!
