I have used them and found them not to be very reliable and the quality leaves a lot to be desired, also at peak times on a Sat/Sun you will often get a busy signal.
I have found 2 other companies who's names I have misplaced that also offer 2p a minute landline/mobile.
Numbers are
08448388621 or 08448384840 I have used these in recent times and found them to be reliable and good quality,
Those numbers are no good from a mobile though Steve, most mobile networks now charge upward of 20p per minute to call 08 numbers from a mobile.
The service Tony refers to offers a London number (0207) to access the service meaning the call is included in the 'inclusive' minutes for contract mobile users.

I just got a great deal from O2 though so long as I top up my phone each month £10-£20-£30 Etc i get free calls to Thailand I think up to 500 minutes. Might be worth looking in to

If intending on a visa at a later stage then consider keeping a log of calls. Call 18185 here do very good rates (Currently 1ppm from a landline) and you register a debit/credit card with them which they issue an invoice against with actual numbers called, time and duration. Been using them for years now with no issues.

how are you getting the free calls to thailand?
i thought o2 had stopped allowing people to use the 0844 numbers as part of their bundle

we use iphone card £5.00 card (can be bought for £4.50 sometimes) we use 0207 access number and get 2,000 mins so that adds up to £00.225p per min and best bit is we have a plan on orange where we get access to 0207 included in the (2,800 inclusive mins) on our tariff
The O2 rep called me on the phone and asked me if I was happy with them etc, I said it would be nice if I could get cheaper call to Thailand he said he would change my plan and that if I topped up so much each month I would get free calls to Thailand up to 200 mins,no 044 number to dial.
Is that from a mobile or landline and have you checked your phone bill its only half p/minute or are you going by what they say when you have dialled 08442009898?
The price is from a BT land-line Ron. All 084 numbers, irrespective of the official "designated" call charge (which can be anything from 0.5 to 5.0 pence per minute) will be charged at a rip-off rate by the mobile networks. Typically this will be between 20p and 30p per minute - a nice tidy profit!

Scally, the cable companies generally charge the "official" charging rate for 08 numbers - the only sting in the tail is that they will charge a "call connection" fee of between 6p and 10p per call.

18185 advertise a freephone number for NTL customers "08081703703" You have to register with them and calls to LOS are 1ppm plus a 4p connection charge. Check them out here I would double check what NTL charge however, as Tobias says they usually try and skim you somewhere.

Hey Guys. What's going on here? I did a posting yesterday to help your members save money on mobile calls to Thailand by using their inclusive minutes from Orange pay-monthly mobiles. And - what do you guys do? - you take my posting off the forum. Oh God man...! what the hell is going on in this forum? - don't you guys want to help your members? My mind is boggling at what is going on in the mindset of the moderator. I'm not a regular visitor, but I think I not gonna bother to visit any more if you guys cut me off at the knees like this.
The service I highlight to you all is genuine - I have been using it for 3 months now, since all the other mobile call-through guys got cut off, due to their own greed and stupidity. The [name removed by Moderator] service from [name removed by Moderator] is the only one remaining in Orange inclusive minutes - all the other idiot service providers have been 'sent to the Jungle' by the "Big 5" mobile operators.
If you don't want your members to know about this service - then it is up to you guys (viz: moderators) and your insular mindsets. Just be assured that loads of Thai restaurant owners & importers, as well as HK, Jap, Malay, S'pore & Chinese business people and students use this service regularly. The mobile number range that provides the access numbers actually belongs to [name removed by Moderator], which has been in business since 2003, and which has thousadnds of Thai business customers and is owned by a Thai business [name removed by Moderator].
I am very annoyed at you guys for removing my posting.
A very disgruntled Ling dum

Ling Dum, your post was moderated for 2 reasons. The first being the forums are not here for commercial concerns to advertise their own products and services. The business concerned has been advised previously that free advertisements will not be permitted in the forums.
The second reason for the removal of your advertisement is that the claims you make regarding the service being offered may not be entirely correct. Accordingly I removed the post in its entirety to avoid members here inadvertently being exposed to unexpected high mobile phone calls.
P.S. A nice 'subtle' attempt to re-advertise your business in your 2nd post too!

Oh God man...!
Why is it every time some company employee barges in here, trying to grab some free advertising, they present themselves as some sort of 'impartial customer'. Very lame.
As mentioned before, please do not hesitate to contact us for advertising rates prior to posting here.
In the meantime we'll allow our genuine members to continue sharing their impartial views on who's cheapest to call Thailand.
