I find it really funny that it is cheaper to call Thailand using these services than it is to call the DVLA or your local hospital
Crazy

What a crazy world we live in

For UK calls check out 1899.com. Used them for 3 years now no problems.

No, calls are charged for Thailand, free calls are UK landline only. For Thailand we generally use 18185 1ppm to Thailand land and mobiles. Check out their sites 18185.co.uk 1899.com

Over the years I have tried just about all the cheap call options for calls to Thailand. Some of the very cheap numbers also have a BT charge (minimum) whether you connect or not. Recently I have been using www.localphone.com which is brilliant. Calls are at the moment 0.89p per min (landlines or mobile) and you can add credit to your online account easily. The great thing is you register numbers you will dial from (ie mobile or home) and then you can also add favourite numbers you call which are stored as Local Numbers - really easy to dial. Also they have internet phone support, so if you are in Thailand and want to call back to the UK you can use a wireless connection to make much cheaper calls back home. It took me a while to set up the internet phone and I tried it out in France recently, and it seemed to work fine. Rather than buying cards this system is also a nice way to budget calls (ie £10 or £20 per month) and all numbers called are stored with costs so you can manage your calls better.

There are a number of such sites, including :-

www.niftylist.co.uk

All very helpful because this is a very competitive marketplace, and prices do change and new cheapest deals appear quite regularly.

I also use phone cheap ( 0844 200 9898 ). 0.5p/min.

My phone bill was very cheap and i've been calling 2/3 times a day.

Rarely have any problems either. Good service.
