just something you probably all know about but in internet land, ive been a fairly regular user of Skype voice calls, but i need to tell you about the Video calls now available through Skype.com
when trying to use other pc 2 pc messenger/voice services to Thailand, i always found conflicts and poor reception, after trying skype it wipes the floor of all the other competition, my wife in edgware sat and chatted to her sister in BKK for three hours the other night uninterupted, also you can go full screen, its spooky its like having the person sat next to you. the best thing about is its free |

Re Skype & Broadband
Broadband is great with Skype from Thailand but dial up forget it I wasted money trying to use it on dialup even thinking it would be better to call a land line than a computer from Thailand, but the persons I called could not hear me I could only hear them intermittenly. Yet the setup for the voice was working perfect on dialup, I now have ADSL and no problems calling anywhere. |
