Hi all, i hope someone can help.
My wife took her sister a mobile phone over to LOS(Samsung D500 P.A.Y.G unlocked from Orange). Her sister put her own sim card in and the phone worked fine. Unfortunatley, she's had it stolen, i know you can block all UK networks but i wonder how it works abroad. I have noticed when i've travelled round LOS that the orange network sometimes comes up so i'm wondering that if the "Nice Person" who stole it roams onto the Orange network it will automatically block it? I have the IMEI number and all the details but i thought i'd ask the forum before contacting Orange. If anybody has any ideas what to do i would appreciate it as i feel sorry for her sister as she's having a bit of a bad run. |

Hi Tony
As far as I know there is no IMEI blocking in Thailand. Contacting Orange Thailand may get it barred on there network but I don't think so. A bit like the UK networks up untill a couple of years ago, they will see it as cutting off potential revenue A UK barred phone still works outside the UK and interestingly still sends and receives SMS here. I had one stolen when I was on holiday, had just put 500 baht on it Jack |
