If you want to call Thailand for free, or if you want to receive calls for free to phone from Thailand from a mobile you have to read this site Rebtel

It gives you a local number to call, not 0844 numbers but a local number, Mot has just had a conversation with her ma, and it was very clear and free. Sure it comes off my inclusive minutes and Martin Lewis from Moneysavingexpert.com endorses it Here

Quote from their website.

We probably shouldn't tell you this, but...

Did you know that, if you and your friend both live in Rebtel countries, there's a way to use Rebtel without paying us anything?

Here's what to do:
Call your friend on their Rebtel number
Ask them to look at the number displayed on their phone screen
Tell them to hang up, and then call you straight back on that number
Meanwhile, you stay on the line. Don't hang up!
A couple of seconds later, your friend will join you back on the call
Talk.
That's it.
PS - If you and your friend both have inclusive minutes with your mobile phone contracts, the whole thing can be free - both the local and the international bit of the call!

Confused?

We've made a film that explains everything.

PS - it's a little bit ancient because we spent all our money on giving you cheap calls and not changing the film, but it totally still works. We hope you understand!

Not sure if Thailand is listed in the rebtel countries though.
You also recieve 10 mins for free from your mobile to any mobile in any country upon signing up, It doesn't cost anything and no card details are asked for.

Have fun

I'm there
Bryn

Doesnt seem to be, still maybe in time.
We use VoiP at the moment but the 120 free days runs out in a month or so. thanks for the info Bryn, always looking at reducing the costs, may be useful for some other call types tho. Thumbs Up
