Today I was speaking to a Chinese salesman in the Car Phone Warehouse, he advises that O2 currently have an offer of 1000 off peak minutes with a Motorola phone for £20 less cash back (I think he said the total £20 is rebated for a number of months, might have been the full 12 months)

The interesting point is that these off peak minutes INCLUDE the 08444 numbers that can be used for cheap call to Thai.

He further added this offer is very popular with Chinese students.

Might be woth a look at.

As far as I know, only 0845 & 0870 are included, maybe that has changed though.

0844x are included in my 02 minutes bundle. The service provider is the Carphone Whorehouse

Bear this thread in mind mentioning the lack of standardisation between 02 tarrifs.

yep .just got one of these and it looks like you could effectively get a free phone and free rental, although if you make peak time calls it oh oh oh so expensive, be so so careful. If you look at the online version of carphone wharehouse you can get similar deals. e2save i think ? they have nokias on a similar deal.

Currently I use 07744974404, which is of course a mobile number. From my Orange mobile these minutes are included in my bundle. Simply dial this and enter the 0066.... Thai mobile number and you'll get it free if you have free minutes. Obviously you're paying for your minutes in your bundle but many people don't use all theire free minutes. This is only available Mon-Fri 24Hrs.
