We tried to use our Motorola E1000 from 3 in Thailand and it sked for a password access password.

I understand that you can unlock the sp lock but some websites say you need to reinstall the software?

Has anybody had any experiance of using 3 phones in Thailand?

We tried a couple of mobile shops at Lotus Taopoon but no luck.

Any comments...

Thanks.

Regards

Martin

Hi Martin

The E1000 can be a bit tricky depending on the software & bootloader version. Best to get a pro unlocker who uses a bit of kit called SmartClip.
The manufacturers are making it harder all the time, there are many phones now that can't be done but the E1000 can Wink you've just got to find the right guy

Problem with that is the phone has to be on the home network and Martin is in Thailand. I have never heard of 3 supplying a code for a phone that is out of the UK. But it might be worth an email to their customer services,

Thanks.

I will try the three route.

Only problem is that we are on PAYG with them.

Otherwise it will be a trip to Pantip or MBK I suppose.
