Gor's Thailand Life

Gor's Thailand Life
The Life of a Thai Teenager - ชีวิตวัยรุ่นไทยคนหนึ่ง

Panrit "Gor" Daoruang

Panrit "Gor" Daoruang is Thailand's most famous teenager. He writes about his life growing up in Thailand. Gor became famous around the world when he started writing about his life on his website. He then later wrote a weekly column for the Bangkok Post at the tender age of only 16. He writes about every aspect of Thai culture that he has personally experienced. From his own wedding to the birth of his daughter. This book is a must for anyone interested in Thai culture or who are thinking about teaching in Thailand. For the first time ever, here is the story of what Thai teenagers are really up to in their spare time. Not to be missed!

"My name is Panrit "Gor" Daoruang, a teenager from Thailand. I used to be called Nattawud, but a monk suggested that I should change my name after a series of bad luck. I don't think it helped me that much because I am now in a Thai prison. The stories in this book are based on my Thailandlife.com website and my "Gor's World" column that I wrote for the Bangkok Post when I just 16 years old. You will be able to read about my teenage romance, my High School marriage and the birth of my lovely daughter – though it didn't quite happen in that order. This is my Thailand life."

The book includes 32 pages of colour pictures. The author is donating 100% of his fees to a trust fund for the education of his daughter.

And don't forget that there are some very good websites built around Gor and his experiences and writings.

Thailand Q and A Forum
Thai Blogs
Learning Thai
Gor's Daily Life

And that's just for starters. Once you get going you'll find stacks of interesting stuff in there.

Great book with more content than you may expect. Starts from age 12-15 and goes through to present and his prison sentence. If you have followed his diaries and story on the websites since the start then you will already know evrything in the book, but it still makes a fascinating read for anyone interested in modern Thai culture.

Well worth the asking price and for anyone that has followed nong Grace's progress a great opportunity to help her future.

Thumbs Up
