James Eckhardt's first novel is now over 15 years old, but has lost little, if any, of it's relevance to the present day. The stories within are still being acted out by farangs in Thailand every day. A pleasant dose of reality, stripping away the thin gloss coating many visitors fail to see beyond. A must read for first timers to the Land of Smiles. Those who've "been there, got the t-shirt" will enjoy relating to stories they could frequently have written about themselves.
