Based on a true story. On the 14th October 1973, dozens of people were killed in Bangkok during street battles between government troops and demonstrators. Most of the victims were students from Thammasat University. Violence broke out when several thousand students took to the streets demanding the military government step down and the introduction of a democratic constitution. The "student uprising" and the "People's War" that followed are chronicled in this film, directed by Bandit Rittakol, one of the reporters covering the protests at the time. Co-writer Seksan Prasertkul was of one of the demonstration's key protagonists and also the main character in the film, the Thai name for which translates as "14th October, People's Fight".
